Terms & Conditions – Jewellery Purchases
These terms apply to all transactions relating to jewellery supplied under the Lab Grown Diamonds name. By submitting an order, the customer acknowledges that these conditions form the entirety of the agreement governing the purchase.
The customer understands that each provision operates within a unified structure requiring careful reading, because rights, obligations and limitations differ depending on the classification, certification, configuration and hygiene characteristics of the item purchased.
A binding contractual relationship is formed once the customer submits an order and payment is confirmed. The customer recognises that the selections made during checkout — including size, shape, metal preference, stone type, stone shape and design elements — form the exclusive specification upon which production relies.
Stones utilised in the jewellery originate from Dubai-grown materials including lab grown diamonds and moissanite. These stones undergo examination and certification prior to integration into settings, with grading authorities such as IGI, GIA, Charles & Colvard, GRA or institutions of equivalent standing.
Metals used in jewellery are subject to numeric hallmark classifications reflecting purity, where silver may carry 925, gold may carry 375 / 585 / 750, and platinum or palladium may carry 950 or the relevant grade selected. These hallmark values form a defined part of the product specification.
3. Fourteen Days Cooling Off Period for Tennis Necklaces (Neck Only)
Tennis necklaces designed to be worn around the neck are the only form of non-customised goods supplied by Lab Grown Diamonds eligible for the statutory fourteen-day cooling off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
This right applies only when:
- The necklace is returned unused and unworn
- Original packaging, gift boxes, documentation, certification and accessories remain intact
- The item is returned within fourteen days of delivery
Handling beyond what is reasonably required for inspection may result in deductions for diminished value. This right does not apply to tennis bracelets or any other jewellery item.
Customised Goods – Production & Cancellation Rules
Rings, earrings, studs, pendants and tennis bracelets for the wrist are produced according to the customer's configuration. Production begins shortly after acceptance — typically within approximately 24 hours.
These items are classified as goods made to the consumer’s specification under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The statutory cooling off period does not apply once production begins.
By submitting an order, the customer provides explicit and irrevocable consent for production to commence, waiving cancellation rights under Regulation 36(1)(a). The customer is responsible for ensuring all selections are correct prior to order confirmation.
Hygiene-Based and Stone-Configured Restrictions
Jewellery intended for close or direct bodily contact — including earrings, studs, pendants and wrist-worn tennis bracelets — cannot be returned once packaging is opened or handling exceeds minimal inspection due to hygiene reasons.
Rings incorporating stones selected by the customer (type, shape, cut, colour, dimension etc.) are considered individually configured and are non-returnable once production has commenced.
Certification & Packaging Requirements
Some items include certification bearing a unique serial identifier permanently linked to the piece. Opening or disturbing certification:
- Reveals serialised information
- Permanently ties certification to the item
- Eliminates eligibility for return, exchange or refund
Packaging, presentation materials, inserts, certificates and gift boxes form part of the product identity. Loss or damage may result in deductions or refusal of return.
Return Authorisation
- No item may be returned without written approval via: info@labgrowndiamondlondon.co.uk
- Unauthorised returns may be refused or returned to sender
- Approved returns must use tracked Royal Mail shipping
- The customer remains responsible for the item until signed for upon receipt
Faulty or Incorrect Items
The customer must notify Lab Grown Diamonds immediately and within 24 hours of delivery if an item appears faulty, damaged or incorrect. Failure to notify within this window constitutes acceptance of the item.
Lab Grown Diamonds reserves the right to inspect any returned item. If signs of wear, misuse or alteration are identified, no remedy will be offered.
Supplier Identity
Goods are supplied by GEM HQ LTD, trading as Lab Grown Diamonds (Company No. 16876687), which is the entity responsible for all contractual obligations.

Shipping quotations may be provided after order submission. Refunds are only possible if production has not begun. Any approved international return must be sent using tracked, insured delivery at the customer’s cost.
Data Protection
Personal data provided by the customer is processed in accordance with the applicable privacy obligations and may be used for certification, identity verification, payment processing and legal compliance.
